V3D docs are still incomplete. It's not that you will get more docs even if you purchase more expensive version. But of course if you purchase source license, you may not need to wait for docs because you can read the code yourself. I suppose we should get more complete docs or at least API docs on Jan 2010. Because V3D version 1.0 is targeted to be release on late Jan or early Feb 2010.

I have posted my 6th Video since Beta 6 was released. This one is a semi-tutorial, 2.5 minutes in duration with some call-out text embedded into the video to give you instructions for object manipulations and grouping.
This is a preview for a 5 minute tutorial on this topic. I have captured all the video footage for it, and next need to do the narration for it. Last edited by najak : 12-17-2009 at 04:23 AM. |

And now here is the actual Tutorial Version of this video. Check it out!
Perhaps this video even teaches some of you Visual3D veterans of Visual3D a few things that you didn't already know. Last edited by najak : 01-01-2010 at 08:21 PM. |

Here is the PDF format for this Tutorial -- which allows you to have the transcript in written form, and also supplies some added reference materials on the first page.
Let me know what you think. Last edited by najak : 01-02-2010 at 01:08 PM. |

thanks Najak, appreciated.
And here's a link on how to download a Google map to create a height map, not sure if this has been posted before. I've actually tested it and works great. You can download a colour map for your heightmap but it's no where as good looking as V3D paint. ![]() http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=27052 . . |

Can we get a tutorial on editing the terrain points at runtime? I need to be able to allow the end user to click on a point and raise/lower it, with some procedural modifications as well. Everything I see indicates the terrain is fixed at launch.
